Nach drei Wochen „Sommerpause“ geht die Diamond League 2015 nun in ihre zweite Hälfte. Als achte Station steht am Samstag Paris am Programm. Nach der Absage von Usain Bolt und Bohdan Bondarenko könnten die 5000m der Frauen in den Mittelpunkt rücken. Almaz Ayana und Genzebe Dibaba treffen heuer erstmals aufeinander und haben im Laufe der Saison ihre Stärke mehrfach bewiesen. Renaud Lavillenie darf beim „Heimmeeting“ natürlich auch nicht fehlen.

1500m Olympiasieger Taoufik Makhloufi hat sich schon mal mit einem ordentlichen 1000m Lauf auf Samstag mit 2:13,08 eingestimmt und lief die fünftschnellste je gelaufene Zeit über 1000m. Damit setzte er sich mit mehr 2,7s Vorsprung an die Spitze der bisherigen Weltjahresbestenliste.
