Viele Deutsche Leichtathleten sind zum Saisonabschluss beim IAAF Continental Cup nochmal ins Team Europa berufen worden. Derzeit stehen Thomas Röhler (Speerwurf), Konstanze Klosterhalfen (3000m), Pamela Dutkiewicz (100m Hürden), Marie-Laurence Jungfleisch (Hochsprung), Malaika Mihambo (Weitsprung), Kristin Gierisch (Dreisprung), Christina Schwanitz (Kugelstoßen), Nadine Müller (Diskuswurf) und Christin Hussong (Speerwurf) auf der Meldeliste. Schweizer und Österreicher sucht man vergeblich im Aufgebot.
