Nach der WM ist vor Weltklasse Zürich. Am Donnerstag gibt es das nächste Diamond League Meeting im ausverkauften Züricher Letzigrund. Am Mittwoch gibt es bereits den Stabhochsprung der Frauen im Züricher Bahnhof. Die 4x100m ÖLV-Frauenstaffel (Posch, ~~Gogl-Walli,~~ Pressler, Lindner, Schuler, Ersatz Standfest) ebenso. Magdalena Lindner (Union St. Pölten) und Isabel Posch (TS Lustenau) haben auch Startplätze im 100m Vorprogramm erhalten.

Nach sechs österreichischen Athlet:innen in Doha und drei in Eugene im Vorjahr sind nun wieder 8 ÖLV-Athlet:innen in Budapest dabei. Lukas Weißhaidinger (ÖTB OÖ LA), Victoria Hudson (SVS-Leichtathletik) und Susanne Gogl-Walli (TGW Zehnkampf-Union) waren auch im Vorjahr dabei. Markus Fuchs & Lena Pressler (Union St. Pölten), Raphael Pallitsch (SVS-Leichtathletik), Sarah Lagger (TGW Zehnkampf-Union) und Julia Mayer (DSG Wien). Das Swiss Athletics Team umfasst 31 Athlet:innen. Das deutsche Team hat nach ein paar Absagen derzeit noch 71 Athlet:innen.

Von Montag bis Donnerstag finden in Jerusalem die U20-Europameisterschaften statt. 45 Teilnehmer:innen bedeuten für Swiss Athletics ein neues Rekordaufgebot bei diesen Meisterschaften. Das (vermutlich) 14-köpfige ÖLV-Team hat mit Enzo Diessl (SU Leibnitz) auch einen führenden der Jahresbestenliste und mit Kevin Kamenschak (ATSV Linz) einen 2. / 3. & 7. laut SB und mit Matthias Lasch einen weiteren Vierplatzierten laut SB im Aufgebot. Der DLV hat sogar 106 Athlet:innen der insgesamt 1157 Leichtathlet:innen aus 44 Nationen gemeldet.

Vorschau

Nach mehreren Anläufen findet nach 2019 in Neapel nun die World University Games (ehemals Universiade) 2021 im chinesischen Chengdu statt. Am Freitag gab es bereits die Eröffnungsfeier. Die Leichtathletikbewerbe finden von Dienstag bis Sonntag statt. Unisport Austria in Kooperation mit dem ÖLV hat 7 ÖLV Athlet:innen nach Chengdu geschickt. Die Schweiz schickt 19 Leichtathleten, Deutschland 24.
