Diamond League – Seite 16 – hosl's blog über Leichtathletik

Nach der kurzen Pause geht es ab Donnerstag weiter mit einer geballten Ladung an Diamond League Meeting. Ab 20 Uhr gibt es das Athletissima in Lausanne. Auch Österreich ist unter den aktiven Vertreten. Eva Wimberger (ULC Linz Oberbank) darf sich auf ihren Start im Rahmen eines Diamond League Meeting über die 100m Hürden freuen. Bei der Team-EM steigerte sich die U20-WM Starterin von Barcelona 2012 bereits auf 13,67s und bei den Landesmeisterschaften am Wochenende durfte sie sich über 3 Titel (100m – 12,15s PB, 100m Hürden und 4x100m) freuen.
Am Samstag folgt dann bereits das Meeting Areva in Paris und eine Woche später gibt es den zweitägigen Sainsbury’s Grand Prix in Glasgow. Somit gibt es auch wieder einiges zu tun für die aktiven Spieler des IAAF Fantasy Diamond Races.

Am Samstag folgt bereits in New York mit dem „Adidas Grand Prix“ die nächste Station der Diamond League. Die Meldelisten sind bereits verfügbar. Gespannt darf man zum Beispiel auf das zweite Rennen der Saison von David Rudisha sein. Im Hochsprung duellieren sich die zuletzt besten Bohdan Bondarenko und Mutaz Essa Barshim!

~~Laut Runnerspace darf man aus U20 sicht auch auf die „Girls Dream Mile“ mit Alexa Efraimson gespannt sein.~~ Alexa Efraimson ist nun im 1500er am Start. Elise Cranny hat ihren Start leider abgesagt.

Die IAAF Diamond League nimmt nun richtig fahrt auf, denn nach vorigen Donnerstag in Rom steht am Mittwoch Oslo am Programm und am Samstag folgt bereits New York. Danach gibt es eine Pause bis zum Atletissima in Lausanne am 3. Juli. Andreas Vojta (team2012.at) vertritt Österreich im Konzert der großen Meetings und läuft die „1500m NATIONAL“ um 18:03, vor der Fernsehübertragung. Nach den guten 3000m und 800m Läufen darf man zwei Tage nach seinem 25er gespannt sein, welche Zeit über 1500m rauskommen wird.

Für die Teilnehmer des IAAF Fantasy Diamond Race heißt es nun also wieder ordentlich tippen.

Andreas Vojta (team2012.at) läuft auch das EM-Limit über 1500m und bleibt 2 Tage nach seinem 25. Geburtstag mit 3:36,43 nur 7/100s über seiner Bestzeit und wird 3.ter.
Arne Gabius gab beim 5000er auf, während Homiyu Tesfaye den Deutschen Meilenrekord (3:49,22) als 3.ter der „Dream Mile“ in 3:49,86 relativ knapp verpasste.

Bereits am Donnerstag ruft die 4.te Station der Diamond League die Teilnehmer des IAAF Fantasy Diamond Race. Da beim letzten Mal einige der „ÖLV League“ vergessen haben ihren Tipp abzugegeben, diesmal sollte es am Donnerstag vermutlich bis 15:15 Uhr funktionieren. Die vorläufigen Meldelisten sind im Link unten verfügbar.

Mit besonderer Spannung darf der Hochsprung der Männer erwartet werden. Ivan Ukhov, Bohdan Bondarenko, Derek Drouin, Mutaz Essa Barshim und Erik Kynard stehen derzeit auf der Meldeliste. Über 100m Hürden gibt es das Duell Sally Pearson gegen Brianna Rollins.

Die dritte Station der Diamond League ruft die Teilnehmer des IAAF Fantasy Diamond Race. Vorsicht, es gelten nur die Diamond League Bewerbe, somit fallen zum Beispiel die 10000m aus dem Tippspiel.

Mit Spannung erwartet wird die Rückkehr vom 800m Weltrekordler David Lekuta Rudisha (KEN). Er trifft gleich beim Saisoneinstieg auf seine stärksten Konkurrenten Mohammed Amam (ETH) und Nijel Amos (BOT). Galen Rupp (USA) möchte gleich am Freitag bei den 10000m in Richtung amerikanischen Rekord laufen. Eine Liveübertragung ist fraglich, aber im Vorjahr gab es im Rahmen der Berichterstattung am nächsten Tag Ausschnitte vom 10000er.

Am Freitag beginnt mal wieder die IAAF Diamond League in Doha. Wie schon in den letzten Jahren, jedoch ohne Übertragung im deutschsprachigen Fernsehen. Österreicher sind heuer laut Startliste beim Auftakt in Doha keine dabei, aber eine große Anzahl an deutschen Athleten. Ein besonderes Auge darf man dabei (aus läuferischer Sicht) auf das Auftreten von 1500m Olympiasieger Taoufik Makhloufi legen, der sich seit London rar gemacht hat. Er trifft auf ein sehr starkes Feld angeführt von zum Beispiel Asbel Kiprop, Silas Kiplagat, Nixon Chepseba, Ayanleh Souleiman oder auch Homiyu Tesfaye. Über 800m darf man sich auf ein Duell zwischen Mohammed Aman und Nijel Amos freuen, der zuletzt mit einer 400m Bestzeit von 45,56s aufgezeigt hat.
Aber auch zum Beispiel der Hochsprung mit Derek Drouin, Ivan Ukhov und Mutaz Essa Barshim müsste eigentlich zu einem echten Highlight werden.

Zum endgültigen Abschluss der IAAF Diamond League 2013 geht es am Freitag nochmal nach Brüssel zum Belgacom Memorial van Damme. Über die 100m der Männer hat wieder mal das gesamte Feld eine Bestzeit unter 10s und nur einer eine SB über 10s obwohl das kein Diamond League Bewerb ist. Über 1500m der Frauen kommt es erneut zum Aufeinandertreffen von Abeba Aregawi und Jennifer Simpson. Über 5000m der Männer darf man gespannt sein, was Galen Rupp nun wirklich bieten kann neben Hagos Gebriwhet, Yenew Alamirew, Isaiah Koech und Edwin Soi. Auch interessant wird sein was Hindernisspezialist Evan Jager und Bob Tahri über 5000m anbieten können.
Am Sonntag folgt dann noch das traditionelle World Challenge Meeting in Rieti.

Beim Weltklasse Zürich Meeting wird am Donnerstag dem 29.08.2013 die erste Hälfte der Diamond League Bewerbe beendet. Den zweiten Teil bildet dann das Meeting in Memorial van Damme Meeting in Brüssel am 06.09.2013, wo vermutlich auch Andreas Vojta (team2012.at) am Start stehen wird. Beim Abschlussbewerb werden doppelte Punkte vergeben.
Besonders interessant ist der 800m Bewerb der Frauen, denn durch den verletzungsbedingten Ausfall von Francine Niyonsaba hat theoretisch jede am Start stehende Läuferin noch die Möglichkeit sich den Diamond League Gesamtsieg über 800m zu sichern. Über die 100m steht wieder ein gewisser Usain Bolt am Start. Traditionell stark sind auch immer die 3000m Hindernis mit 2xKipruto, Kemboi, Mekhissi… Am Spannendsten ist aber vermutlich der 5000m Lauf der Frauen, wo sich endlich mal wieder Tirunesh Dibaba und Meseret Defar gegenüber stehen. Zwischen den Beiden geht es auch um den Sieg in der Diamond League. Interessant wird auch sein, was Jenny Simpson über die 5000m anbieten kann.
