Mit dem Olympiasechsten im Diskuswurf, Lukas Weißhaidinger (ÖTB OÖ LA), ist heuer erstmals ein Österreicher in der Diamond League am Start. Für Lukas ist es überhaupt der erste Start in der Diamond League.
Der Diskuswurf startet bereits 2 Stunden vor Beginn der Übertragung um 18 Uhr.

Nach einer einjährigen Pause feiert der Salzburger Cityjump am Freitag seine zweite Auflage am Kapitelplatz. Beim ersten Cityjump konnten gleich die Massen begeistert werden und es wurden geschätzte 5000 Zuschauer gesichtet. Die Eindrücke dazu gibt es hier.
Bereits vor der WM in Peking hat Hallenweltrekordler Renaud Lavillenie seine Startzusage für dieses Event gegeben, dass ganz im Zeichen von Kira Grünberg’s Trainingsunfall steht.
